We are already used to black lists based on security facts, now it seems that a new kind is arriving, based on service facts.
Even if things are not clearly stated this way, that’s how the new french government initiative looks like. The purpose is to rank airlines according to their level of service during the last “snow crisis”. Understand : providing accommodations, compensations etc… in accordance with regulation.
But if the purpose is to try to understand the causal chain that lead to such a catastrophe, with restricting the initiative to airlines ? We can be quite sure that the latter would also like to discuss the role of airports operators in a scenario that made them head straight for disaster.
