Continental Airlines is the first carrier in North America to receive a Boeinfg 737-800 equipped with the new “Sky Interior” cabin.
Visually it looks both very nice and soothing and seem to have some similarities with the varying light atmosphere of the A380. Since I’ve only flew the second I can’t compare more but I’m curious to know how passengers will feel is this very nice-looking cabin.
According the the airline, “This all-new interior features newly sculpted sidewalls, energy-efficient LED lighting and larger overhead bins that retract into the ceiling, permitting stowage of additional roll-aboard bags. Other features include improved ventilation and cabin-noise reduction for customers and new, touch-screen flight attendant panels and controls.”
Other airlines will take delivery of 737s equipped with this new interior in the next months : Gol, Fly Dubai, Lion Air, Norwegian and Malaysian.
