We already knew that the liquid ban was supposed to end in Europe by 2012 due to the use of equipments capable of detecting liquid explives. But we were unsure of what would happen for non-european flights. Different rules depending of the departure airport ? Depending on the airline nationality regardless of the airport ?
Finally it seems that the ban lift will be generalized. That’s what we can deduce from this what the International Civil Aviation Organization said last monday. As a matter of fact, most airports should be equiped with more modern detection devices by 2012.
But some questions remain. Will all countries lift the ban or will some decide to keep a lower allowance despite of the new equipment ?
